Link Love

Check out these cute pocket pillows by Elsie Marley.

My husband would die if I did this, but the kids would love this Spray Painting on the fence by No Time for Flashcards.

These Plain to Pretty Planters by Evangeline would be a great addition to our new house.

This Big Crumb Coffee Cake by Smitten Kitten looks wonderful for this time of year.

My next baking experiment will be this Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie by Pioneer Woman.

Blogging Absence

I'm obviously on hiatus. Not an intended one, but a hiatus nonetheless. We moved within the past week and over the course of the move, it's going to take a week for my phone and internet to be hooked up again. I'll be back online sometime next week. Meanwhile check out some of the great blogs I have bookmarked.

Tackle it Tuesday

Yeah!

You're never going to guess what I did this weekend. I went to a scrapbook retreat with my mom and grandma. It was the first time I've ever left Baby Girl overnight. That's right. Seventeen months and Mommy had never left her. It was time.

I can't believe how much I got done. I got there Friday around 11 am, since my hubby's off on Fridays. Took out my stuff and worked till 3 am Saturday. Felt like I could have kept going, but was so afraid of how I was going to feel the next day.

Was back up and at it again in the morning. Worked till 2 am Sunday morning and had to drag myself out of bed later. That was rough. It was a good thing it was the last day.

Funny thing is no matter how much time I have, I always feel like I could have more. Missed my kids, missed my husband, but was having a great time.

And got a lot done. Finished Baby Girl's One Year Album, with the exception of about 3 pages for which I didn't have the pictures. Did most of the journaling in her album as well. What a relief to have that done. And finished our Alaska 2007 Album, with the exception of another 3 pages for which I needed photos and still need to journal in. So glad to have those two big projects done. Now I can just focus on keeping up with the Family Album.

So I'm back home. Back to packing boxes. Back to hoping we get to sign papers on the new house this week. Wish me luck. I'm sick of packing and sick of looking for things in boxes. I'm ready for the house.
