2012 Goals

As the year turns, many of us are thinking about New Year's Resolutions.  Lose a little weight, renew old friendships, find a better paying job.  But I challenge you.  Let's turn those resolutions into goals and actually make some real changes in our lives.  Instead of being overwhelmed by resolutions, let's set goals that we can tangibly work toward.

Today we're linking up our 2012 Goals!  In what areas of our lives do we want to make real change?  How can we begin making those changes today?  Review the guidelines for setting goals from last week and ask yourself where you want to grow this year?  Is it in your marriage?  In your relationships with others?  In the area of health?

Write a post highlighting the changes you want to make this year.  Be as concrete as you can.  Then come back here and link up so others can see what you're working toward.  Every first Thursday of the month, we'll have another link up to let others know how we're doing.  This way we can keep our goals in front of us and grow more in 2012!

These are my goals for 2012:

Personal:
*Keep a consistent devotional time, memorizing verses through my discipleship group.

*Memorize 12 verses with the kids.

*Read 24 books.

*Tackle 12 DIY projects.

My Marriage:
*Plan a bi-weekly time of being together.

*Read 2-3 books together.

*Plan a yearly getaway.

My Kids:
*Plan a once a month date with each of the kids.

*Homeschool/supplement preschool for Lydia and 1st/2nd grade for Noah.

*Read through the Magic Treehouse series with them.

*Go on a field trip once a month.

Health and Wellness:
*Convert 4-5 items on our grocery list to organic, as budget allows.

*Develop a gym routine of 4-5 days a week.

*Eat more seafood.

*Learn to make an incredible loaf of sourdough.

Writing:
*Plan posts one month in advance and write posts one week in advance.

*Spend 2 hrs a week writing on something other than the blog.

*Budget my blogging time more appropriately.  Do less work when the kids are around.

So what will you work toward in 2012?
